Drug and Alcohol Rehab in Bangkok

Most people researching rehab in Bangkok search from outside Thailand. You may be looking for yourself, or for someone you can’t sit across a table from: a partner whose drinking or using has moved from “a bit much” to the thing the whole family quietly plans around.

Thailand has genuinely good treatment options. It also has facilities that operate with very little oversight, and from another country the difference is hard to see.

Addiction treatment here is delivered through Inspire Center, our own rehab facility in Bangkok. The programme covers drug rehabilitation, alcohol rehabilitation, and sex addiction, and it’s accredited by the Thai Ministry of Public Health.

What treatment covers

Treatment at Inspire Center is individualized, built around one person’s history, circumstances, and readiness rather than a fixed sequence everyone is put through. Two people can arrive with what looks like the same problem and need quite different treatment, and the programme is designed to reflect that.

The style of treatment is American. Dr. Eric K. Mason, who founded the practice in 2012, is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the United States, with more than 20 years in practice, 14 of them in Bangkok. The programme follows the standards he trained under.

Why accreditation matters

Rehab in this part of the world ranges from excellent, accredited programmes to operations with very little oversight. A photograph of a pool tells you nothing about which one you’re dealing with.

The Inspire Center addiction programme is accredited by the Thai Ministry of Public Health. It’s one of the few things you can verify from another country. With any facility you consider, ask directly: who accredits the programme, and can they show documentation. A facility that bristles at that question has answered it.

No facility can honestly promise you an outcome. What you can check is accreditation, credentials, and how plainly uncomfortable questions get answered.

If you’re looking for someone else

Many inquiries about rehab come from family members rather than the person who needs treatment. If that’s you, you can find out what’s available before raising the subject at all, and knowing what treatment involves makes the eventual conversation less improvised.

You can arrange treatment for someone, but not their willingness. The first conversation is a good place to talk through how people in your position handle that.

What happens when you get in touch

You call or send a message, in English, and ask what you want to ask: what treatment involves, how it’s structured, what it costs, whether it suits your situation. Inquiries are handled discreetly and treated as confidential. We’re open 11am to 6pm, Bangkok time, every day.

Nothing is agreed in the first conversation, and nothing is pushed afterward. Treatment begins only when the person entering it has agreed. Some people wait until they’ve hit a definitive low point before they feel entitled to ask questions. You can ask from wherever you are now.
